My name is Nadine Compton. What's yours? My hobby and passion is to run this blog. The goal for Pop Culture Middle East is to showcase the different types (and persons that engage in) pop culture focused media about, from and related to this region of the world, but particularly focusing on the Arabian Gulf. Like anything else people cultivate and collect, it is filtered through a certain lens. 

     Mine is that of a Third Culture Kid (TCK) who grew up on a compound in Saudi Arabia. I do my best to find articles, videos, ads and artwork from the Internet and television, but if you have any additional/other forms of media that fit the criteria then please feel free to contact me. I do not claim to be an expert. I am learning all the time!

    As someone who has very limited knowledge outside of my North American bubble, I really enjoy reading your work. It's unique to anything I've been exposed to and I appreciate how you've made me more aware of the part of the world that I probably know the least about. And you've done it with humour and lightness even when addressing more serious issues. I'll keep being a loyal anonymous reader. I knew that you would go on to do great things.
