Aaand they travel not as tourists, but as "humans of the world," interacting with local innovators from different countries. Not gonna lie, I became interested in this show because they travel wearing their kandorah, the traditional male dress from the United Arab Emirates. According to their website, this they do on purpose as it not only serves as a talking point with new people that they meet. This fulfills their goal of being social travellers, and not tourists. You can watch these guys and their adventures on the channel Dubai One if you happen to live in the GCC. If you don't you can watch the videos that they upload on their YouTube channel. Check the Al Awadhi brothers out below.
I wanted to include a video that had Arabic and English translations, but it doesn't seem that that's the way they film things here in the Gulf. Here's an Arabic video on their trip to Great Britain.
And the season two promo in English. I’m pretty sure that they feature their trip to the Philippines here and I think it’s great that their viewers suggested they go there. There is a huge Filipino migrant population in the Gulf and I’m sure that the brothers grew up having Filipino nannies and or interact with Filipino immigrants on a daily basis. Hopefully this trip will give them insight into where the women that possibly raised them come from and the hardships that many Filipinos face due to extreme poverty.
